How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to operate the Alphonso platform — to match candidates with employers, to conduct and evaluate technical assessments, to process background verifications, and to communicate with you about your account.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Employer access to candidate profiles is limited to the data necessary for hiring decisions.

Data Sharing

Candidate profile data is shared with employers only after the candidate has been verified and has consented to appear in the employer-facing pool. BGV data is shared only with the candidate and the employer making a hiring decision.

We work with third-party service providers for background verification, payment processing, and infrastructure. These providers are bound by data processing agreements.

Analytics & Tracking

This website uses third-party analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with our pages. No personally identifiable information is tied to these measurements. The tools currently in use are:

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page traffic and performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint individual visitors, and does not track users across sites. Data collected includes page views, referrer, browser type, country-level location, and performance metrics. Data is processed by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) under their Privacy Policy. Cloudflare's analytics comply with GDPR and do not require cookie consent under most jurisdictions because no personal data or cross-site identifiers are stored.

PostHog

We use PostHog, a product analytics platform, to understand how visitors use our site. PostHog automatically captures pageviews, clicks, and user interactions. It may use cookies or local storage to associate events with a session. Data collected includes pages visited, click targets, referrer, browser type, OS, and approximate location derived from IP address (IP addresses are not stored). Data is processed by PostHog, Inc. (USA) under their Privacy Policy. PostHog is hosted on US infrastructure and acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement consistent with GDPR and CCPA requirements. No session recordings or heatmaps are enabled on this site.

Under GDPR (EU/EEA), UK GDPR, CCPA (California), and similar laws, you have the right to object to or opt out of analytics-based processing. You may opt out of PostHog data collection at any time by contacting us at support@alphonsohq.com, by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, or by using a content blocker. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not set cookies and does not require an opt-out mechanism under most regulatory frameworks.

The legal basis for this processing under GDPR is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in understanding how our website is used in order to improve it. Where required by local law (e.g. ePrivacy Directive jurisdictions), we rely on your consent.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
